CROSS COUNTRY

We have two schools involved in mid-week action and then an extremely busy Saturday.

Wed. Sept. 8th: GLEN ESTE @ Western Brown and WILMINGTON is in the Fairborn Invitational.

Sat. Sept. 11th: WINTON WOODS will be hosting their own invitational with MT. HEALTHY in the field.
ANDERSON, ROSS, and TURPIN are in the Mason Invitational.
LITTLE MIAMI and NORWOOD are at the Bethel-Tate Invitational.
KINGS and GLEN ESTE are in Tiffin, OH at Hedges Boyer Park.
NORTHWEST is at the Dover Invitational.

BOYS GOLF

There are two undefeated schools in the East, ANDERSON and LOVELAND and both share 5-0, 4-0 records. TALAWANDA (5-1, 4-0) and ROSS (6-2, 4-0) sit atop the West.

This week’s schedule:

TALAWANDA and WINTON WOODS join Hamilton at Potter’s Park for a quad-match with Badin.

Wed. Sept. 8th: LOVELAND @ Mason, Preble-Shawnee @ EDGEWOOD, Purcell-Marian @ NORWOOD and NORTHWEST and Colerain are at ROSS for a tri-match.

Thurs. Sept. 9th:
In the East: ANDERSON @ KINGS, MILFORD @ LOVEALND, TURPIN @ LITTLE MIAMI, and WALNUT HILLS @ WILMINGTON

GIRLS GOLF

The Girls tournament is two weeks from this Tuesday at Fairfield Golf Center’s South Trace course.

This is an extremely light week of action with only 11 matches over three days. The slate for the week:

Wed. Sept. 8th: HARRISON @ WILMINGTON and ANDERSON @ Cincinnati Country Day.

Thurs. Sept. 9th: KINGS and MILFORD @ LOVELAND and LITTLE MIAMI and WILMINGTON at TURPIN for tri-matches and GLEN ESTE is @ NORTHWEST.

GIRLS TENNIS
There are currently 3 teams who are unbeaten in divisional play at this midpoint of the regular season: MILFORD (8-1, 4-0) and LOVELAND (4-1, 4-0) in the East and TALAWANDA (7-1, 4-0) in the West.

A Championship History of the Fort Ancient Valley Conference

We will begin a new chapter in the FAVC beginning with the 2010-2011 school year. We will split the conference into two divisions, East and West, with the exception in football, where we will maintain the current three divisions—Buckeye, Cardinal and Scarlet that have been in place since the 2006-2007 school year.

The make-up of the Fort Ancient Valley Conference looks like this: 1965 through 1998—One Division, 1999 through 2005—Two Divisions, and 2006 to the Present—Three Divisions)
